Our experienced team can plan, design and build social applications and campaigns of any size and scope – from simple quizzes, to major flash social games and interactive apps that sit in fan pages.
For over two years we’ve been building social applications across platforms. Ask us about Facebook Platform & Fan Page applications, and Facebook Connect & Twitter applications and microsites.
We work directly with clients and with major agencies to deliver social campaigns – get in touch now to find out how we can help.
The Flavourhood
Towards the end of 2009, we worked with Razorfish to develop McDonalds a major Facebook campaign, The Flavourhood. This campaign included several game-like applications aimed at building a fanbase around McDonalds products.
As Alistair Macrow, McDonald’s UK marketing director, said on an interview to NMA, “the campaign was designed to engage customers with its top-selling products… Using Facebook lets us engage, entertain and reward our fans,” he said.
The campaign includes a central application connected to multiple flash games and fan pages related to each product, and has reached over 200,000 users so far. Unit 9 created the introduction flash.
iPlatform worked with us on ‘The Flavourhood’ activity we developed for McDonald’s, and they have been a real pleasure to work with. They were very flexible, accommodating our many requirements, and have shown real dedication and commitment to deliver. The Facebook platform is constantly evolving, and having a collaborative partner who understands it well is invaluable.

Aero Thought Bubbles
As part of the Aero Thought Bubbles campaign, we worked with Mindshare to allow fans of the Aero page to select a photo of them or their friends from their Facebook albums, then add in their own chocolate thought bubble and publish the photo back to Facebook, all in a fan page tab. The finished photos could then be shared on the user’s own profile, as well as being added to a gallery tab in the fan page.

The campaign has been a great success, with almost 100,000 fans of the campaign page, thousands of photos uploaded, and over 25,000 users checking out the photos every day.

We have worked with iPlatform to deliver campaigns for a number of our clients, and they have always provided us with excellent insight into the Facebook platform and how it would affect our campaigns. They have proposed innovative ideas for new campaigns and are always aware of the platforms latest changes. We’ll seek their knowledge and expertise in our upcoming projects.

Twindaloo for Cobra Beer – What kind of curry are you?
We worked with Shiny Red to deliver the Twindaloo site for Cobra Beer. Enter your Twitter name, and it will analyse your last 300 tweets to work out what kind of curry dish you are! The site was created to celebrate National Curry Week and position Cobra as the beer of choice when eating the famous Indian dishes.
Here’s what Lewis Webb has to say about our work together.
