Channel 5 makes UK first as iPlatform brings Facebook Credit Voting to life
Channel 5 has launched Facebook voting for its reality show Big Brother. This marks the first time a UK television network uses Facebook Credits for voting on a TV show.
iPlatform worked with Dare Digital to create an official England Squad Facebook application. The Believe in England application allows users to create their own official England shirt, complete with a unique name and number for the squad line-up. Users can then upload this as their profile picture. Using Facebook, England fans were given the opportunity to show and share their support for their national team during the World Cup in 2010.
On 29th April 2011, people from all over the world came together for The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, both at Westminster Abbey in London and around the World on Facebook. iPlatform has been invited, by Royal Appointment, to produce an app for the happy couple so they can track the blessings of their loyal subjects and other well-wishers from around the globe.
iPlatform is part of building the campaign in creating the Show Off Your Label, a unique competition with 14 challenges to get people showing off Fairtrade?s label with the chance of winning some amazing prizes. One of the challenges invites users on Facebook to upload a photo of themselves using their favourite Fairtrade product, such as a banana to create a ?banana smile?.
